OCIA Update

This Sunday, four people from our community: Camron Beaver, Anna Eidsmoe, Peter Eidsmoe and Jason Krentz will participate in the Rite of Entrance and Welcome which is a public acknowledgment of the journey they are on as they participate in the OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) and prepare to be fully initiated in the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil. Please pray for our candidates and catechumen as well as their sponsors as they continue these important steps on their journey of faith.

This Sunday, our catechumen (those preparing to be baptized at the Easter Vigil) and our candidates for full reception (who will be confirmed and receive First Communion) will participate in the Rite of Sending (catechumen) and the Call to Continuing Conversion (candidates). Later in the afternoon, the catechumen will go to the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, where they will participate in the Rite of Election with Archbishop Grob and the other catechumens from across the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

Please continue to pray for all who will be participating in these important Rites on their journey towards full initiation in the Church. (By the way, OCIA is the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults, formerly known as RCIA).
