St. John XXIII College Connection

… Remembering and encouraging our members in college!  This ministry is our way of communicating with the college students from our parish. This communication happens twice a year and involves sending a “shoe box care package” to our students before exam time each semester.

There are many ways you can help:

1. Make a monetary donation to help defray the cost of postage to mail these packages. Checks can be made payable to “St. John XXIII” and placed in an envelope marked “College Connection”. Donations can be placed in the collection baskets, mailed to the Faith Formation Office, and you can make a donation online HERE.
2. Choose several items and put them in the box in the Church gathering area, drop them off at the parish office, or the Faith Formation office. Please indicate the items are for College Connection. Examples of appropriate items include microwave popcorn, ramen noodles, granola bars, wrapped candy, prayer cards, etc. Please AVOID:  Any heavy items, perishable items, items larger than a shoebox, or any medications.
3. Help pack boxes on November 26 at 6:00pm in room 145 (enter through Door 10)
4. Submit addresses of college students here no later than November 25 to receive a box for this semester. Please note, addresses need to be submitted for each academic year – and let us know if addresses change for the spring semester!
