St. John XXIII offers a variety of events to help all parishioners grow in their knowledge of the faith and deepen their relationship with Christ.
Ongoing Events
CRE – Faith Formation for grades K-10 on Mondays from 6:00-7:30pm starting September 18

The Chosen – Gather with fellow parishioners on the first and third Tuesdays at 6:30pm to watch this ground breaking series and discuss each episode

Soup (or Salad) with Substance: Explore the upcoming Sunday readings each Wednesday at noon or 5:30 while enjoying a simple meal

Children’s Liturgy of Word is offered the first and third Sundays during the 5:00 Mass starting September 17 so our youngest parishioners can more fully understand the readings at Mass. Participants will be called forth before the first reading and gather in the library to listen to the word at their level returning to the Mass during the offertory.

Confirmation preparation is offered on various Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm for those young people in 11th or 12th grade who are preparing to receive this sacrament

Special Events
Safe Environment Training for Adults on Tuesday, September 12 or Thursday, September 28 at 6:00pm: All adults who work with minors or vulnerable adults in the parish as a volunteer or employee are required to participate in one of these sessions to be more aware of abuse and how to prevent it. Participants must register in advance here.

Eucharistic Minister’s Formation and Training: Whether you have been a Eucharistic Minister for a long time or just want to learn more about it, join us as we explore why we as Catholics call the Eucharist the source and summit of our faith. Choose from two options: Wednesday, September 20 at 6:30 or Saturday, September 23 at 10:00am

Celebrating Christ Present On September 25 at 6:00 join us as we explore how to deepen our understanding and appreciation of the central Christian sacrament—the Holy Eucharist. The session focuses on the words of Jesus at the Last Supper: “Do this to remember me,” and encourages us to truly remember Jesus whenever we celebrate Eucharist, as well as in all of our daily activities and attitudes. This is part of the Family Faith Enrichment series open to individuals and families of all ages. To help us plan, please register here.

First Communion/First Reconciliation Orientation Meeting for parents and the young people who are preparing for these sacraments. Choose from Thursday, October 5 at 6:00pm or Sunday, October 8 at noon.

Biblical Roots of the Eucharist Join us on Tuesday, October 10 at 6:30pm as we hear from Scripture scholar, Dr. Dan Scholz, as he helps us explore the scriptural roots of the Eucharist. RSVP here.
