Greetings and Thank You from Knoxville, Tennessee

As you read this, we are either finishing our packing or traveling to Knoxville, Tennessee, where we will join fellow missionaries for a week of faith, service, and growth. Together, we will discover more ways to use our God-given gifts, serve the local community, and deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our week is inspired by the words of Jesus: “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). Through service and prayer, we hope to experience the joy that comes from giving of ourselves to others.

We carry all of you in our prayers, especially the many generous parishioners whose support has made this experience possible. Thank you for your kindness, and please keep us in your prayers throughout the week.

Come Holy Spirit. Kindle the hearts of all who are serving on the mission trip this week and bless those who will be served. Keep them safe on their journey and at their worksites. Let them see that they are the hands and faces of our Lord Jesus Christ. Open their eyes so they may see the face of God in the people they are serving. Strengthen their hearts so they will continue to serve him in order to promote the Reign of God here on earth. Amen.
