I Am Sent Forth

As the Priest or Deacon Sends Us Forth at the end of Mass, we are called to go on mission. During this Christmas season, our mission is simply to love. We encounter family more intimately, giving us a chance to be more present and loving. We encounter relatives and friends that we see less frequently, giving us a chance to love them and appreciate who they are in our lives. And we encounter some that are suffering deep within their hearts, that need to be known and loved in a special way this season. This is our chance to carry out our mission as disciples, to show our love – to show Christ’s love through us to those we encounter.

Jesus came as a baby to show us human vulnerability and the need to be loved. Receive His love, and provide that same love to others this season.
