St. John XXIII College Connection

… Remembering and encouraging our members in college!

What is it?

This ministry is our way of communicating with the college students from our parish.  This communication happens twice a year and involves sending a “shoe box care package” to our students before exam time each semester.

WE NEED STUDENTS’ ADDRESSES:

If you have a son or daughter from the parish in college whether living at home or away and would like them to receive a care package, you must give us his or her current mailing

address.  We can only send the packages to students whose current mailing addresses are given to us.  Email, mail or call them into the Formation Office or drop them into the Sunday Collection basket labeled “College Connection.” You can also submit addresses by clicking on the button bellow.

There are several ways you can help:

1. Make a $$ donation to help defray the cost of postage to mail these packages. (They can get expensive!) Checks can be made payable to “St. John XXIII” and put in an envelope marked “College Connection” and dropped in the collection baskets or mailed to the Formation Office. You can also click the button below to make a donation online.
2. Choose several items below and put them in the boxes in our church gathering areas. Or you may drop off your items at the parish office or the Faith Formation office—make sure you indicate the items are for College Connection. Examples of items include microwave popcorn, ramen noodles, granola bars, wrapped candy, prayer cards, etc. Please drop off items on the weekends of November 9-10, 16-17, or 23-24 or deliver your items to the Parish Office or Faith Formation Office by November 25.
3. Help pack the boxes on November 25 at 6:00pm in room 142.
