Youth Group Night on Monday, January 27 at 6:00: All 6th-8th graders are invited to join us for Pizza and Game Night. Bring your favorite game, bring a friend and enjoy some pizza, hot cocoa, snacks and fun! Register here so we can make sure we have enough pizza!

Hands to Serve, Hearts to Love Family Faith Enrichment session, January 27 at  6:00pm in room 141. Join us for this family friendly event as we explore how we are called to being God’s love and mercy to all while participating in a hands on service project. Registration is appreciated.

Gospel of Luke Bible Study: The Good News of God’s Mercy
The overriding message of the book of Luke, that God has acted through Jesus Christ to meet our deepest needs, encourages us to welcome God’s actions throughout our lives and, in turn, to go out and offer God’s mercy to the world around us. Join fellow parishioners as we continue our journey through Luke, reviewing chapters 5-8 on Tuesday, January 28 at 1:00pm or 6:30pm and every other Tuesday through March 25. Registration is appreciated but walk ins are welcome.

Emmaus 90 Formation Watch Party “How do I recognize him? with Fr. Spaghetti Dinner and Family Social, Saturday, February 1 from 5:30-7:00pm in the cafeteria. Join us for all you can eat spaghetti, a 50/50 Raffle, sneak peak at the Basket Raffle and more. Adult beverages available from the Welcoming Committee. Head to the SJ23 school variety show at 6:30 to round out the evening entertainment. No cost for dinner but free will donations are accepted to support our Youth Mission Trip.

Moses and the Law on Tuesday, February 4 at 6:30pm Join us as we continue our 3-part series on Moses. We will dive into characters from the Old Testament that lead up to the Exodus story itself, and then watch the Moses film, starring Ben Kingsley, to lead into our discussion on the Law presented to Moses, and how it becomes manifest in Jesus.

The upcoming dates for this Moses series are:
– February 4th
– March 4th

We will gather at 6:30 pm in rooms 141/142 at the St. Peter’s Campus.

Church Fully Alive! Parish Mission February 16, 17 and 18 at St. John XXIII – St. Peter’s with Joe Farris and Lee Roessler. Hospitality and check in at 6:00pm; presentations begin at 6:30. Each night will have a different theme focused on how we can grow in our relationship with God and each other. Monday the 17th will be a more “family friendly” night with special activities for our youngest parishioners (but still great for Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa!)

Can’t make it in the evening or want to go deeper? Join us for “Lunch and Learn” at noon on Monday and/or Tuesday in room 145. Bring your own bag lunch.

Registration is appreciated but not required for the evening and lunch sessions.

Ongoing Formation Events

CRE  – Faith Formation for grades K-10 on Mondays from 6:00 pm -7:30 pm. To register for the current academic year, go here.

Scripture Study: Explore the upcoming Sunday readings each Wednesday at noon while enjoying a simple meal.

Children’s Liturgy of Word is offered every Sunday during the 5:00 Mass at our St. Peter’s Church site so our youngest parishioners can more fully understand the readings at Mass. Participants will be called forth before the first reading and gather in the library to listen to the word at their level returning to the Mass during the offertory.

Confirmation preparation is offered on various Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm for those young people in 11th or 12th grade who are preparing to receive this sacrament
