Liturgical Choir
The 2024-2025 choir season is starting back up and we’re missing you! Choir rehearsals for the Liturgical choir are on Wednesday. The Liturgical Choir sings a wide variety of sacred music. Together we will learn music, both old and new, from the very rich traditions of the church. Our singing schedule rotates between the 8:30 am Mass at Immaculate Conception (1st & 2nd Sundays of the month) and the 10:30 am Mass at St. Mary’s (3rd & 4th Sundays of the month). We also sing for special liturgies throughout the year such as Feast Days, Christmas, and Holy Week. Rehearsals are every Wednesday from 7:00 pm– 8:30 pm at the St. Peter’s church Site. Youth Choir
We are excited to welcome back the Youth Choir to the St. John XXIII Parish. This choir is open to all students, grades 3 and up, whether the student attends PWSSD, SJ23, or elsewhere. Rehearsals are every Tuesday from 3:45 until 4:30 during the school year, following the vacation schedule of St. John XXIII school. We will also have a 30 minute rehearsal before Mass on the days we sing. We will sing on the 4th Sunday of each month at the 5:00 pm Sunday Mass at our St. Peter of Alcantara church site as well as for various feast days through the school year. Resurrection Choir
The Resurrection Choir sings for all the funerals at our three sites. This important part of our ministry sings familiar hymns that are meaningful to the families. If you can only sing at the occasional funeral, it is still appreciated by the families and friends of those who have passed on. All are welcome regardless of experience! Instrumentalist
Throughout the church year and summertime. Whether you play an instrument or sing, please consider offering your talents to the liturgy. All instruments are welcome, from woodwind and brass, to strings, to guitars and basses, to percussion; we would love to have you join us at any of the liturgies! Cantor
Cantoring is open to all who are interested in leading song for any of the four weekend Mass times. The cantor helps lead the congregation in community singing, while also leading the Responsorial Psalm and the Gospel Acclamation.
