The 2023-2024 choir season is starting back up and we’re missing you! Choir rehearsals for the Liturgical choir resumes on Wednesday, September  6 and Saturday night choir rehearsals begin on Saturday, September 9. Come stop into a rehearsal to check it out, come talk to me after Mass, or talk to a current choir member for more information! There is sure to  be something that will fit your schedule!

The Liturgical Choir sings a wide variety of sacred music. If you do not know how to read music or would like to learn the fundamentals of singing, please come and join us. If you do read music and have experience singing, we’d love to have you as well! Together we will learn music, both old and new, from the very rich traditions of the church. Come join our sung prayers as we truly experience something that is greater together than it is individually. Our singing schedule rotates singing between the 8:30am Mass at Immaculate Conception (1st & 2nd Sundays of the month) and the 10:30 Mass at St. Mary’s (3rd & 4th Sundays of the month). We also sing for special liturgies throughout the year such as Feast Days, Christmas, and Holy Week. Rehearsals are every Wednesday from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the St. Peter Site.

The Saturday evening Choir is a new choir to help lead singing at the 4:30 pm Mass at St. Peter’s site. We will help lead singing the songs and hymns as well as the various Mass parts. Rehearsals will start at 3:30 pm and go until 4:15 pm on Saturday evenings. Whether you have never sung before, haven’t sung in a while, or you sing regularly, all are welcome to join!

The Resurrection Choir sings for all the funerals at our three sites. This important part of our ministry sings familiar hymns that are meaningful to the families. If you can only sing at the occasional funeral, it is still appreciated by the families and friends of those who have passed on. All are welcome regardless of experience!

Cantors is open to all who are interested in leading song for any of the four Mass times. The cantor helps lead the congregation in community singing, while also leading the Responsorial Psalm and the Gospel Acclamation. Cantoring opportunities are available at all four Mass times.

Instrumentalists

Throughout the church year and summertime. Whether you play an instrument or sing, please consider offering your talents to the liturgy. All instruments are welcome, from woodwind and brass, to strings, to guitars and basses, to percussion; we would love to have you join us at any of the liturgies!
